Midtown South condos see brisk sales

Several high-end condo developments that hit the market in Midtown
South last year have shown a quick sales pace: Ascend Group’s 133 West
22nd Street has sold 89 of 99 units, the Starck-designed Gramercy building
on East 23rd Street has sold 191 of 207 units and the conversion
project at 141 Fifth Avenue has sold 31 of 38 units. Outside of
Manhattan, however, sales at luxe condos have been slower. The Arbor in
Riverdale has sold 20 percent of its 127 homes, and Rockwell Place in
Fort Greene has 22 of its 37 apartments in contract.
