Foreclosures dip in April

Foreclosures in New York City fell from a 12-month high of 352 in March to 329 in April, according to data released by ProperyShark.com. Queens had by far the most foreclosures with 193, but the borough’s total was slightly lower than its 204 in March. Foreclosures increased in Brooklyn from 43 to 55; decreased on Staten Island from 71 to 45; decreased in the Bronx from 24 to 21; and increased in Manhattan from 10 to 15. The zip code with the most new foreclosures, with 24, was 11434 in Queens, which includes Jamaica, South Jamaica, Hollis and St. Albans. TRD
