State Mortgage Agency looks for new funds

The state Mortgage Agency, which provides subsidized mortgages for first-time home buyers, raised its interest rates this week as they are struggle to borrow money themselves. The agency postponed the sale of $250 million in bonds because of chaos in the credit markets and is looking for new sources of funds.
