New York architect completes design for Asia’s tallest building

New York-based international architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates has completed the design for Lotte Super Tower 123 in Seoul, South Korea. Upon completion in 2014, the 1,821-foot, 123-story tower will be the tallest building in Asia and the world’s second tallest after the Burj Dubai. Kohn Pedersen Fox was selected earlier this year after winning an international design competition by owner-developer Lotte Group, one of South Korea’s largest conglomerates. The mixed-use tower will include public transport connectors, retail, residences, offices, hotel, an observation deck and public space. The Lotte Super Tower will be KPF’s fourth tall building development in Asia. TRD
