Orva opens 1,800-sf Harlem shoe store

Orva shoes, the former department store-turned-shoe-emporium, has opened a new location at 251 West 125th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues, according to Kassin Sabbagh Realty, which brokered the deal. The retailer opened the 1,800-square-foot, ground-floor location Saturday, after signing the lease last week. While the asking rent was $240 per square foot, the final rent was kept under wraps. Orva shoes — with existing locations at 61st Street and Lexington Avenue, 86th Street and Lexington Avenue and 34th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues — also nabbed basement space in the deal.
