Fiorentini + Baker opens permanent store at site of its Soho pop-up

Italian bootmaker Fiorentini + Baker, which opened a pop-up store at 54 Mercer Street for the holidays, has now moved in permanently at the Soho location, Racked reported. At the Real Estate Board of New York’s annual banquet last year, Faith Hope Consolo, head of retail at Prudential Douglas Elliman, had predicted that pop-up shops were here to stay. The shoe store opened last Friday, south of Broome Street, and just below where designer clothier James Perse is setting up shop and around the corner from where Buckler has its own selection of footwear. The new Fiorentini + Baker shop, often frequented by celebrities, was once the site of jeweler Lazaro. [Racked]
