Warren Kanders, CEO of Armor Holdings, which makes body armor for the U.S. military, purchased a Greenwich Village townhouse for $17.8 million, the New York Observer reported.
The five-bedroom spread, at 16 West 12th Street, had a listing price of $21 million, with Sotheby’s broker Serena Boardman and Brown Harris Stevens’ Jill Roosevelt. The apartment features a 60-foot living room and pink silk carpeting.
The sellers were Ava and Rachel Hovnanian, who run K. Hovnanian homes, a national homebuilder, the Observer said. The pair bought the home for $15.3 million in 2010. [NYO]
