Guggenheim names new head of real estate biz

Guggenheim Partners, an asset management firm with $170 billion under management, has named Henry Silverman, 72, as the new head of its real estate and infrastructure business, Bloomberg News reported. His duties include the management and coordination of Guggenheim’s real estate dealings.

Silverman has worked for Guggenheim as vice chairman for the past year. He previously served as a chief operating officer at private equity firm Apollo Global Management. Silverman also worked as a chairman for Realogy Holdings, the public company that owns the Corcoran Group, Citi Habitats and other major brokerages.
