The long-stalled Park Slope residential development at 701 Union Street has resumed construction with a new architect and a new building permit in place, Brownstoner reported.

Construction workers were on site yesterday, and the project has retained the services of Jeffrey McKean Architects, which filed an application for a six-story nine-unit building. The Department of Buildings issued a new building permit in February. The building, located between Fourth and Fifth avenues, will include apartments ranging from studio lofts to two-bedroom penthouses, according to the architect’s website. The ground floor and penthouse units will be able to access garden or roof space.

The DOB had revoked the building’s permits in 2009, following an on-site incident that led to a balcony collapse and a worker injury. [Brownstoner]Hiten Samtani
