Polo group snags Times Square flagship space

The U.S. Polo Association’s flagship store has a new home in the heart of Times Square.

The sport’s governing body selected the 1,250-square-foot space on the ground floor of Vornado Realty Trust’s 1540 Broadway for its visibility and prominence, according to Thor High Street Advisors, whose Matthew Seigel brokered the deal for the tenant. Sherry White represented Vornado in-house.

Rent for the ground-floor sliver of the 1.44 million-square-foot, 44-story building was around $2,700 per square foot, according to a source familiar with the deal. — Julie Strickland
