Lawyer claims baby in suit is not Swig’s

But mother of now 2-month-old boy requests second paternity test

Developer Kent Swig is accused of fathering a now 2-month-old baby, according to a petition filed in Manhattan Family Court. According to the court documents, April Malloy, the owner of a construction business and single mother of seven, called for Swig to take a paternity test. But Swig’s lawyers said he has taken the test and the child is not his.

He visited “a testing center of Ms. Malloy’s choice and the test showed that Mr. Swig is absolutely not the father,” the developer’s lawyer, Jason Advocate, told the New York Daily News.

Malloy, who has named the child Job Swig, is requesting that the judge order a new paternity test, the New York Daily News reported.

Swig’s estranged wife Elizabeth Swig, daughter of developer Harry Macklowe, sued him in May, alleging that his financial travails put her $26 million 740 Park Avenue digs at risk, as previously reported. [NYDN]Mark Maurer
