The Metropolitan Transportation Authority faces a $1 million lawsuit from the board at The Theso Condo On The Upper East Side Over Claims That The Second Avenue Subway project is damaging the façade.

In the Manhattan civil suit, the board cited “intense vibrations and tremors” as contributing to the crumbling of the front of the building at 300 East 71st Street near Second Avenue. The demolition, drilling and tunnel work has also caused “extensive damage” to nearly 40 of the balconies there, the board alleged in the suit.
