Carmel Place’s micro-apartment floor plans revealed

Units range from $2,650 a month for 265 sf to $3,150 for 355 sf

It’s not the size that counts, it’s how you use it. New photos and floor plans released by Monadnock Development reveal “micro units” at Carmel Place in Kips Bay focused around one living room / bedroom / kitchen space, with a bathroom and other assorted bits of space tucked away in corners.

Floor plans for eight units are now available, courtesy BuzzBuzzHome. They range in price from $2650 per month for a 265-square-foot studio to $3,150 per month for a 355-square-foot one.

The 34,000-square foot, nArchitects-designed building at 335 East 27th Street will contain 55 studio units in total. Of those, about 40 percent will be affordable, with eight apartments set aside specifically for veterans.
