TRD's data website tracks new development across the five boroughs
Did you know the two largest projects to kick off construction in the past year were just two blocks from each other near Hudson Yards? Or that three of the 10 largest Brooklyn projects are rising in Bushwick?
A 68-story office tower from the Related Cos. at 500 West 33rd Street, part of the Hudson Yards redevelopment project, was the largest project to officially begin construction in 2015. Nearby, Brookfield Property Partners got approved to begin construction of its 67-story, Manhattan West office tower at 401 9th Avenue. Plenty got started in the outer-boroughs as well, with Long Island City seeing the the top four largest projects approved for construction in Queens.
