Penthouse unit at the Baccarat sells following price chop

The penthouse was listed for $54M and sold for an undisclosed price

A penthouse unit at the Baccarat Hotel and Residences has found a buyer, following a price chop down to $54 million.

Starwood Capital Group and Tribeca Associates, the developers of the 50-story tower on West 53rd Street, had recently reduced the price by $6 million, down from its $60 million asking price.

The duplex penthouse, boasting 7,381 square feet, sold for an undisclosed amount, according to Crain’s. Douglas Elliman’s on-site sales team for Baccarat, Lauren Muss, Gail Sankarsingh and Janice Chang had the listing.

According to the developers, 55 of the building’s 59 condo apartments have now sold. Sales at the building launched some three years ago. Five of those units sold in 2016.
