Approval expected for new Yankee Stadium

The city’s Planning Commission is expected today to approve the New York Yankees’ application for a new stadium in the South Bronx. The baseball franchise’s plans call for a 51,800-seat stadium on a site next-door to the existing Yankee Stadium, and the new stadium would displace about 22 acres of parks. more [Sun]
