Legal battle may loom over Ground Zero

A legal showdown may loom over the future of the World Trade Center site. Negotiations broke down on Tuesday over redevelopment there, and, on Wednesday, recriminations flew between the negotiators. The Port Authority, which owns the site, called developer Larry Silverstein, the site’s primary leaseholder, “greedy” and said he negotiated “totally in bad faith.” Silverstein, for his part, said he wanted to move forward with his plans for the site. more [Sun] and more [NYT]
