Commercial asking rents rise in first quarter

More tenants are willing to pay a premium for Manhattan office space, according to a new report. In the first quarter of 2006, 15 commercial leases were signed at asking rents of more than $100 a square foot, according to brokerage Cushman & Wakefield in a report released Tuesday.
