Manhattan rental market tightens further

The Manhattan rental market got tighter in April. The vacancy rate for apartments in the borough dropped 0.08 percent from March through April to 0.67 percent, according to a report released Thursday afternoon by brokerage Citi Habitats. At 0.25 percent, the West Village had the lowest vacancy rate in April among Manhattan neighborhoods surveyed in the report. Gramercy and Chelsea had the highest, with each at 1.11 percent.
