First lease inked at new Times headquarters

A law firm has signed the first lease at the new New York Times Company building under construction at Eighth Avenue and 41st Street. The 17-year lease by Seyfarth Shaw is for 100,000 square feet on floors 31 through 33, and the asking rent for that space is $80 to $100 a square foot.
