Famed American architect Frank Lloyd Wright is causing a stir Upstate, where a battle is being pitched between purists and a retired sheet metal contractor over whether a house now under construction can be called a ‘Frank Lloyd Wright house.’ Joe Massaro is building a home in Putnam County based on a sketch Wright produced in 1950. Massaro claims his house will be a faithful reproduction of the one that appears in the long-dead architect’s sketch. Purists say a house can’t be called a Frank Lloyd Wright house if it is built based on a sketch rather than on official blueprints. more [Sun]
