In 2006 New York City hosted its highest number of film, television, commercial and music video shoots ever, according to the city’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting. There were 35,000 shooting days in the city last year. Complaints about movie shoots also increased last year, with 1,667 residents calling 311 to gripe about production-related disturbances, up from 857 in 2005. more [AP via AMNY]
