ESB to drastically reduce tenants

Wien & Malkin, the new managers of the Empire State Building, plan to reduce the iconic skyscraper’s tenant count by at least 50 percent. Many of the building’s tenants are worried they’ll get pushed out of the building when current renovations on the structure are complete. Wien & Malkin have begun upgrading internal systems and reconfiguring office space to make room for larger tenants. Commercial lease rates at the landmark are now substantially lower than average Midtown asking rents. more By Vanessa Londono
