Brooklyn’s “solid” sales gains

A new report from the Real Estate Board of New York shows “solid gains” on sales prices for Brooklyn apartments and houses in 2006, signaling that the borough is still a popular alternative for buyers priced out of Manhattan. The median apartment price in Brooklyn rose 6 percent last year, to $343,000, and the median price for single- and multi-family houses rose 16 percent, to $570,000. more [NYO]
