Merrill Lynch eyes Midtown move

Merrill Lynch is in negotiations with Vornado Realty Trust to relocate its headquarters from Downtown to a new office tower across from Madison Square Garden, according to a source. The investment bank would be the anchor tenant in Vornado’s proposed 2.5-million-square-foot building at the site of the Hotel Pennsylvania. Merrill Lynch’s lease for 3 million square feet at the World Financial Center expires in 2013. more [Sun]
