Foreclosure filings in Queens increased 69 percent in the third quarter compared to last year, according to RealtyTrac. Foreclosure filings increased 43 percent in the Bronx, 31 percent in Brooklyn, 14 percent in Manhattan and 37 percent citywide. Filings dropped 12 percent on Staten Island. Nationally, foreclosures more than doubled.
