Developer Sheldon Solow’s plan for seven towers at the former ConEd site near the East River includes hundreds of affordable units. Solow wants to build six residential towers with 4,166 apartments. They would range from range from 47 to 69 stories. The plan also calls for a 1.5-million-square-foot office tower. Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and Richard Meier are the architects.
