UWS group wants Extell tower stopped

November 30, 2007 10:46AM

An Upper West Side community group has asked a state judge to stop Extell from building a tower at 80 Riverside Boulevard because it claims that it violates a 12-year old design agreement for the land. The Riverside South Planning Corporation claims the building, in the Riverside South complex, will have too much glass and that Extell did not seek the planning corporation board’s approval. Donald Trump once owned the property, between Eleventh Avenue and the Hudson River. Trump agreed to binding design construction agreements in 1993 that applied to future owners of the property.
