Long Island City-based V3 Hotel plans to break ground soon on the 23-story, 180-room Hotel Indigo on Duffield Street. A rooftop bar, a restaurant and 17,000 square feet of new retail are planned. “This is definitely a higher-end hotel than what we’re used to seeing in Brooklyn,” said V3 CEO Ben Nash. A groundbreaking is planned for Dec. 11. By 2012, 1,973 new hotel rooms are planned for Downtown Brooklyn.
