Lord & Taylor, owned by NRDC Equity Partners, has signed one of this year’s biggest office leases. The luxury department store will take 109,000 square feet at the Starrett-Lehigh Building on 11th Avenue, at 601 West 26th Street. The deal will free up space in the Lord & Taylor flagship store building on Fifth Avenue at 38th Street, where the chain’s front office is housed. The company plans a $100 million renovation at the 10-story flagship building, which could be designated a landmark.
