Boston-based Taurus Investment Holdings has purchased the 12-story
Standish Arms Hotel building at 169 Columbia Heights for $50 million
from the Jehovah Witnesses’ Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. The
century-old, 74,393- square-foot building will house about 100 rental
apartments. Rents for two-bedroom apartments will start at $3,600;
one-bedrooms at $2,800; and studios at $2,000. Watchtower is selling
six of its 18 properties in Brooklyn Heights.
