Can foreigners save NYC real estate?

As concerns about the New York City housing market mount, interest continues to increase from foreigners who can cash in on the weak dollar. Ivana Tagliamante, senior vice president at Halstead Property, said foreigners probably account for 50 percent of condo showings, compared to about 10 percent two years ago. While brokers have seen more caution from Wall Street-type buyers, Europeans have picked up the slack.
