Renderings have been released for two development proposals for the polluted Public Place site along the Gowanus Canal in Carroll Gardens. Both proposals, submitted by the Related Companies and the Hudson Companies, would build more than 700 units of housing and offer large amounts of retail space and parkland. Buildings would range between six and 12 stories.
