Elliman marketing Nobu hotel-condo in Tel Aviv

Prudential Douglas Elliman’s new international marketing arm is working on the first ever hotel-condo named after Japanese restaurant owner and chef Nobu Matsuhisa — a 225-unit Nobu Hotel and Residences in Tel Aviv.

Nobu, a world famous chef, has established restaurants in hotels like the Belvedere Hotel in Greece, InterContinental Hong Kong and the Gramercy Park Hotel. He has two other New York City restaurants: on West 57th Street and a two-part Location On Hudson Street.

Neal Sroka, who recently left the Corcoan Group, is now working with Raphael DeNiro, an executive vice president at Prudential Douglas Elliman and a partner in the project (and son of Robert DeNiro), on the marketing of the Tel Aviv development.

With the arrival of Sroka at Elliman, the company is tackling Nobu and six other international projects, mostly residential, in Tel Aviv, Moscow, Dubai, and the Caribbean. He and his team of seven brokers have contracts out with six other developers.

“[Elliman] wanted me for my international business,” said Sroka, president and COO of Douglas Elliman Worldwide Consulting.

“We’re helping our clients reach a broader environment,” Sroka said.

Meanwhile, Louise Sunshine, chairman of Sundezio, is also going global.

Her new venture, Domineum.com, will be a global online media company providing a multiple listing service for luxury condos, condo hotels, and fractional interests in the top 50 global and resort markets. It will go live this fall.
