Chupi penthouse triplex re-lists for less

The Palazzo Chupi’s penthouse triplex has been re-listed for $2.5 million less. The going rate for the Julian Schnabel-owned triplex, complete with seven balconies and terraces, has dropped to $29.5 million. Maria Pashby of Corcoran is now listing the three-bedroom condo with 3,713 square feet, 8 rooms, four exposures and a wood-burning fireplace taller than the door of the room it occupies. Earlier units in the Palazzo Chupi were for-sale-by-owner. The West Village building is still holding on to its exclusivity, however, as possible buyers must be screened by Schnabel, an Oscar-winning director.
