As restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group expands from its trademark Gramercy Tavern and Shake Shack into Brooklyn and Connecticut, Meyer is also getting ready to feed Mets fans next spring with Blue Smoke and Shake Shack vendors at Citi Field. But, taking a break from the rapid expansion, Meyer put aside his Mets loyalties last week to cater an All Star game bash on Randall’s Island, feeding baseball stars with pulled pork and chilled shots of peach soup.
