Shea Stadium held its final game last night, and to fans’ dismay, the Mets lost 4 to 2 to the Florida Marlins. After the game, 42 of the Mets greats, including Willie Mays and Yogi Berra, walked the bases on the field. The Mets called Shea, which is in Corona, Queens, home for 44 years. The new Mets stadium, Citi Field, is in Willets Point, Queens and will be ready for opening day next year.
