A giant crane was raised Monday at the construction site of the Azure condo at 333 East 91st Street, where two construction workers were killed in a crane accident four months ago. The project is now scheduled for completion by November 2009, about four months later than originally planned. The site’s new crane was approved by the Department of Buildings late last week, and its unassembled components were inspected on Sunday. The brand new crane was inspected by its maker, Liebherr Group, before it was assembled, and will undergo a series of required load tests beginning tomorrow.
