Murdoch-owned newspaper group moves to MetroTech

The Rupert
Murdoch-owned Community Newspaper
Group, the city’s
largest group of neighborhood newspapers, has just signed a lease
for 18,000 square feet of space at One
MetroTech Center in Downtown Brooklyn. The media company’s offices were
previously scattered throughout Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, and now
the company is consolidating all 125 employees on the 10th floor of
the MetroTech Center. The group publishes 30 local papers, including
the Bronx Times
Reporter and the TimesLedger Newspapers in Queens. The Spanish language
newspaper El Diario La Prensa and ad agency UniWorld Group also
recently moved into MetroTech Center, where other tenants include
Forest City Ratner and National Grid. TRD
