Zar Property has bought an eight-story commercial building in Soho for
$12.65 million. The building, at 64-68 Wooster Street, between Broome and
Spring streets, is home to the Ohio Theatre company, and the theater’s
artistic director, Robert Lyons, said that Zar is evicting it. According to a letter on the theater’s Web site, it has already lost
use of the sixth floor of the building, which was a rehearsal space,
and was told to vacate the first floor by the end of the month, but
is in negotiations with the landlord to stay until June.
