Brooklyn leaders urge MTA to sell 370 Jay Street

Brooklyn leaders said Wednesday that the MTA should sell the empty
building at 370 Jay Street to help fuel Downtown Brooklyn’s economic
growth and generate money for the MTA, which is facing a $1.2 billion
deficit. The 400,000-square-foot Jay Street building has been empty for
five years, Borough President Marty Markowitz said, and it could be
renovated into retail space.
