Southampton woman leads campaign against large homes

If you’ve ever thought that some Hamptons homes are just too big, you’re not alone — one Southampton woman, Evelyn Konrad, is fighting to get rid of the “overly large homes” that she believes dominate her neighborhood. One builder in particular, Christopher Tufo, is catching grief from Konrad, who hopes his 4,250-square-foot home at 81 Leo’s Lane will be demolished. A judge has ordered that the home, currently on the market for $3.25 million, go through another architectural review process. Konrad claims that the neighborhood was not made aware of the builder’s plans before he constructed the house, which is currently one of the largest in the neighborhood.
