Many residential open houses utilize carefully-selected music to
appeal to buyers, but few actually have a soundtrack built in for
them. Prospective buyers looking at Prudential Douglas Elliman’s
listing at 145 Kent Street in Greenpoint, a vacant former church, have
been treated to the sounds of music from the adjacent Sunday school
space attached to the building, which is currently being used as a
rehearsal space for local jazz musicians and is also up for sale, the
brokerage said in a press release from the Barak/Blackburn Group. The 7,046-square-foot former
church, built around 1870, has a 5,635-square-foot basement and is on
the market for $3.4 million. The school is 6,800 square feet and has a
4,400-square-foot basement. Its asking price is $3.7 million. TRD
