TerraCRG expands with new office
Boutique commercial brokerage TerraCRG has moved its operations to a new office at 592 Pacific Street in Downtown Brooklyn, across from Atlantic Yards, after tripling its employee roster, the firm said. Its former office was at 162 44th Street in Sunset Park, according to a company representative. The newly renovated, 2,500-square-foot office’s location was of key importance to the Brooklyn-focused firm’s managing director, Ofer Cohen. “An easily accessible Brooklyn location was fundamental for our business,” Cohen said in a written statement, adding that the new office “will enable us to expand with several new senior agents.”

Art projects infiltrate Downtown construction
Downtown construction projects might be a tad more aesthetically-pleasing in the coming months, according to the Alliance for Downtown New York, with the installation of five new public art works at construction sites in Lower Manhattan. The art projects, which are being set up as part of the Re:Construction program, have been funded through a $1.5 million grant from the Lower Manhattan Development Corp. Elizabeth Berger, president of the alliance, said she hopes the projects will bring a pleasing façade to the neighborhood construction. “Think of Re:Construction as an intervention to create a cheerful and welcoming environment in the midst of an urban renewal,” Berger said in a written statement. The installations will be complete by the end of January at sites throughout downtown, including the East River Waterfront Esplanade, 99 Church Street, West Thames Park, Fiterman Hall at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, and 56 Leonard Street.
