Paterson okays black outs on Aqueduct docs

The five bidders for the fraught Aqueduct race track contract will have the right to black out information from documents germane to the deal, before they’re made available to the public tomorrow, as per Governor David Paterson’s approval. The Paterson administration’s approval to block potentially revealing information from reaching the public eye comes amid mounting speculation that the winning bidder, a conglomerate known as Aqueduct Entertainment Group, had curried political favor in its effort to get the contract. The Manhattan U.S. Attorney has reportedly begun an investigation into AEG and how the group was selected for the job.
