Chef Bouley faces condo foreclosure

While Daniel Boulud may be looking to upgrade his Manhattan real estate, as The Real Deal first reported, other gastronomic stars aren’t faring quite so well. Celeb chef David Bouley faces imminent foreclosure on his $2.5 million Tribeca home at 163 Duane Street, according to the Post, while staring down about $80,000 in debt on his eatery, Bouley restaurant, located in the same building. While it’s unclear how Bouley found himself in such fiscal foibles, reports indicate that he’s more than $100,000 behind in taxes and that he hasn’t filed a mortgage payment on his condo since February 2009.
