Spanish clothier Desigual is opening a Midtown location near the corner of 34th Street and Fifth Avenue. Murray Hill will soon welcome a new restaurant, Marcony, at 184 Lexington Avenue near the corner of 31st Street. In Gramercy, a new eatery called Baoguette and Thao Noodles has opened at 241 Third Avenue on the corner of 19th Street. Lower East Side ice cream shop Labortorio del Gelato is opening a new location at 188 Ludlow Street near the corner of East Houston this summer. A clothier named Mighty Healthy is opening a pop-up shop at 151 Orchard Street between Stanton and Rivington streets.

In Brooklyn, Greenwood Heights is getting a new pizza place called Barro at 725 Fourth Avenue. A new boutique shop called Black Gold is opening in Carroll Gardens at 461 Court Street in the near future.  In Sheepshead Bay, a shop called True Perfection Kitchen & Bath
has opened at 3102 Avenue U, according to Sheepshead Bites.

In Queens, at JFK airport’s Terminal 4, Palm Bar & Grille opens as Mexican eatery Skinny Cantina sets to open in Long Island City at 47-05 Center Boulevard.

Famed Spanish chef Jose Andres said that he plans to open a restaurant in New York City sometime in the next five year. No word yet on what neighborhood he’s eyeing.

Amid these openings, there was news of one closure, possibly temporary.

In the West Village, Grand Sichuan at 15 Seventh Avenue South between Carmine and Leroy streets was hit with a Department of Health closure.
