New rental site targets eager beavers

While most New York City renters plan to spend about a month to find new digs, a recently-launched Web site is looking to tap into the Type A crowd that would rather have its living arrangements settled further in advance. JumpPost allows current tenants to list their own apartments months before they plan to move out — so that new, potential tenants have a chance to swoop in early. The folks who list get $500 from JumpPost, while the site charges new tenants 5 percent of the year’s rent.
