Affordable housing coming to W. 25th Street

401 West 25th Street

GF55 Partners, a NYC-based architecture firm, has completed the design
and construction drawings for Elliott Chelsea, the largest new
affordable housing development in Chelsea. The 22-story,
165,000-square-foot, 168-unit building is located at 401 West 25th
Street, at the northwest corner of 25th Street and Ninth Avenue. The
building features metal panels, pre-cast stone and open-corner glass
windows, as well as a retail space on the ground level. “Although it
may look like a market-rate condo development, this is 100 percent
affordable,” said Shay Alster, a partner at GF55. Ground breaking is
scheduled for
