The Real Deal New York

The National Trust for Historic Preservation has awarded grants to eight separate sites and organizations in New York City deemed culturally or historically significant, according to the New York Times. Among the causes receiving grants were the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Louis Armstrong House Museum in North Corona, Queens, the New York Landmarks Conservancy and the Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts. The grants, which ranged in value between $2,000 and $10,000, are intended to promote preservation-based projects and groups.
